There are several ways to cut lining material. The best and most common is a punch and die system. Nestech machines cut the liner and insert immediately into the caps below. This prevents the liner from drifting that occurs in a roller-die model. Punch and die sets produce a flat liner regardless of thickness in a wide variety of materials, from foam laminate, pulp-backed, and thinner induction foils.
Traditional punch and die sets are easily sharpened by the customer. Nestech provides detailed instructions on this process. A good quality surface grinder is all that is needed. However, if requested, Nestech offers a sharpening service with quick turnaround.
Nestech machines have the option of having vision inspection right on the lining machin,e preventing the need for another piece of equipment and drastically reducing costs. The new AI learning features of Cognex cameras make setup easy for the customer.

All shapes and sizes of caps have been lined with Nestech machines, from round to square, using simple round liners, tri-tabs, or actual pull tabs.

High-speed Lining
Nestech has developed the world's fastest lining machine called CapZilla. Designed to line and fully inspect up to 3000 caps/minute on a 38mm. This machine is now on display. A unique tooling configuration never seen before.
Safety
All Nestech machines are fully guarded with redundancies built in. Dual main air valves with dual air exhausts from SMC are standard on all lining machines with a clutch/brake.
